The Story behind the Freedom Album!

Unveiling the Inspirational Journey of the Freedom Album: A Behind-the-Scenes Look!

I am in my freedom wave — not just a phrase, not just a project, but a self- declaration with intention. Using metaphors and weaving it through music - I wanted the album to have a balance of happy and sad moments that everyone could enjoy for years to come!

This freedom wave  inside the album  doesn’t come too gently at first - it came after silence (Ghosted Away) After being overlooked (They Don’t Feel It) After offering softness to people who mistook it for weakness. (Red Flags )

I wrote the Freedom album  to honour the moment I chose myself (Manifest) — when I stopped shrinking to fit into someone else’s narrative or love that never had space, time  and effort for me. When I realised that breadcrumbs aren’t affection — they’re in fact a slow starvation of the soul  remember too that all pain we experience is temporary in life and the real power move you can do is turn your pain into something transcendent.

Freedom is when you stop accepting crumbs and start demanding the whole table or loaf  ! (So Much Better song  )

Freedom is not loud at first. It’s quiet. It’s in the pauses. As the album  unravels, it demonstrates some of these crumbs through the lyrics but still reminds you to take a breath before you say “no more.”

The album  gets happier as it unfolds (Jump On It) and reminds you to manifest what it is your heart  actually desires.(Manifest song  ) It’s the strength to walk away with your dignity intact and the wisdom to never open it again for someone who left you there knocking. Take a moment in your life and reset your own story (Catching Fireflies song )

If someone can’t meet you where you are — if they can’t love you with consistency, compassion, presence, protection, and pride — respect yourself and simply let them go. Its also an anthem!

(Uncharted Skies  which is a piano  instrumental to finish the album  off - a reminder to take that journey and see where it goes!) Be the main character to your own story. (Love is in the Air song  ) Not out of anger, but out of self preservation and reverence for your own worth. (Echoes of the Stars  instrumental  which has a Minimalist comstyle of writing)

Because real love doesn’t dim you. It doesn’t make you seek attention. It doesn’t fear your power. (Freedom!) Wrapped in Tinsel is a Christmas  song and even though it is about wrapping presents  it also is a reminder that the real present  of the season is in the gift of your presence in a moment in time.

And I’m no longer available for anything that asks me to be anything less than I am. (Unlock my Phone ) if you ever have been frustrated by a non funtioning phone - this song is for you - has a  sassy dialogue with a dash of brass instruments!

This is my freedom wave

And from here on, I only move forward — with truth, with clarity and with fire

I wanted songs  that capture the following sentiments and stories:

  1. Your absence taught me how to show up for myself.

  2. I outgrew the version of me that tolerated confusion.

  3. Soft with a limit but strong by choice.

  4. Silence isn’t weakness. It’s self-respect.

I wrote this song during a time when I finally realised I couldn’t keep waiting to be chosen by someone who couldn’t even see my worth.

It’s about breaking free—from relationships that drain you, from patterns that hold you back, and from the version of yourself that kept settling.

“Freedom” is the moment you stop looking to be seen and start the proccess of self-acceptance and walk in your power. The final line—“I’m finally me”—wasn’t just a lyric, it was a self-declaration. If you’ve ever loved someone properly who couldn’t love you right, this song is for you.

“I’m finally me, I’m finally me, I’m finally me - I’m finally free!” It is not just a line you sing - it is in fact — a life shift!!! I hope the Freedom album back story gives comfort and happiness to all who get it.
